‘Something Old’ photoshoot with We Do Weddings

This summer I had the immense joy of collaborating with Maria of Vintage bride, stylist Elizabeth Wurtz of Pretty Chic Blog and fellow photographers Amanda Thomsen and Tine Hvolby on a photoshoot themed after the ‘something old’ tradition for brides. After weeks of brainstorming we ended up with a gorgeous shoot inspired by art nouveau. I was deeply in love with our model Katrine’s long long red hair, and she was such a pleasure to work with, giving us her all for the whole day. Here are some of the photos I took on the day that I really love. Enjoy and afterwards go check out our lovely website and blog to get to know We Do Weddings and what we can do for your wedding day :)

On the day I primarily shot with my digital Canon camera, but I did find a few moments to pull out my Pentax 645 (I love that old camera). The images below are shot with Ilford b/w film:

One of the things I really want you to notice is the intricate details in fabrics and patterns in the dresses here. Both dresses used in this shoot is from Maria/Vintage Bride in Frederiksberg. They are SO amazing and so is Maria’s boudoir-style studio where you can see them all. Make your appointment with Maria here.

All the images below are digital capture…

This is absolutely breathtaking. Dear lord, it took me some time to take it all in. I’m not surprised how well these pictures turned out with such an amazing crew behind it – good job, girls!

One question: where can I get my hands on that amazing headpiece that kind of looks like a cap of diamonds (the shots of the model ind front of a gate)? I’m in love with it!ReplyCancel
